Radisq, the water fae prince encounters his mate, a fire fae prince on his hundredth birthday celebration, a mating completely unheard of. Sure, the water fae were a very tolerating lot, seeing their true mates as a blessing from the gods but the fire fae had never had a mating outside of their kind before.

By the law of their species, on the hundredth birthday of every royal fae, the fae was to spend a year, touring the four kingdoms. However, for Prince Radisq, it would be his first journey away from all he had ever known and felt familiar with. It did not help his anxiety any better knowing that the celebration held in honor of his hundredth birthday marked not only his sojourn into the other kingdoms but also combined with his first foray
