There was a horribly fatal illness that had come into a country. It killed a good majority of the kingdom. The prince of these parts, prince prospero doesn't really care that the poor people of his land are dying. He lets the illness run its course as he takes a thousand of his favorite knights and women and the they lock themselves in a nice castle to party until the sickness has gone away by itself. He had a ball for his guests. But it was set up strangely. There are seven rooms in the ball. The rooms are black, purple, blue, green, white, violet, and orange. Each represent something different. The black room I believe represents death. During the wild party some of the princes guests eyes catch a new guest. He is dressed as a corpse. Prospero

It was about 3:45 in the morning on a Sunday, where I found myself and my excited, wide-awake, good-looking boyfriend driving down a dark, eerie road to a hospital that was 61 miles away. Those 61 miles felt like light years to me I didn’t feel right all day today, I had a feeling deep down that my body was telling me that it was time. I was as nervous as I possibly could be, however, I had to remain completely calm because I could possibly be in labor and our first baby could arrive any time. So There I was, just Sitting there in that fast moving car, patiently waiting for the top of my big-ole belly to become super tight, tighter than a rubber band wrapped around your stomach 1000 times.…

The narrator knew that he was going to murder the old man because of the eye, so he decided to be kind to him the whole week. For seven straight nights, around midnight, he would crack open the old man’s door very slowly. He did not want to make too much noise because he did not want to wake the old man up. He says, “It took me an hour to place my whole head within the opening so that I could see the old man as he lay upon his bed” (Bedford 1187). Just thinking about it, an hour is 60 minutes.…

The Triumph of the Value of Human Life Over the Value of Money: The Luxurious Impregnability of Concentric Castles vs. The Affordability of Old Castles One of the most frightening things is to be woken up by the dreadful noises of frantic screams of desperate people and the horrific smells of burning wood and flesh; to frantically run through the suffocating smoke and, just about when you reach the outside and think you are safe, to watch your castle, your home, your protective fortress disappear in front of your eyes, engulfed in flames. This was a common situation that those living in a wooden medieval castle had to face. This could be a gorey scene from a horror movie; however, for medieval kings and lords, this was their reality that…

It was so utterly quiet that you could hear a pin drop and it brought chills to even the most powerful of people. Suspicions of various people were proven to be correct including the suspicions of Ross and Lennox. The dinner started fairly normal with the delightful smell of roasted beef roaming every hallway in the palace overpowering the stench of the uncleaned floors and unchanged drapes.…

According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, the definition for the word death is “a permanent cessation of all vital functions.” This does not have any bad or scary connotation to the word, yet the word brings a sense of grief and gloom to those affected. Death of a loved or a close one is definitely a hard obstacle to overcome as it represents the end of one 's life on this earth. However, I argue that death does not necessarily have to be all demoralizing as it brings more than just sadness and loneliness. As can be seen in the works of The Princess Bride and “Lancelot the Knight of the Cart”, death itself represents the quest through multiple stages of a hero’s journey, bringing a new dimension of life that does not simply mean the end.…
