The language arts class was scheduled at 5 in the evening. Prince Evener hurried through the garden, not quite sprinting. Once again he justified taking the shortcut through the garden instead of walking the main path. There are too many interruptions if he had gone through the hallways. Somebody is always asking him something, and he cannot always escape like his father does. Once I am king, I can do whatever I want, he tired a sign though his labored breathing. I am dreaming too much of the time I will be king, he thought again. he couldn’t help it at all. Life is so unjust being the elder of three siblings. So much more is expected of him, even though he is barely a year older than his younger brother. He knew they both were starting to …show more content…
Even though they had won in a technicality, the costs were too high. Nobody till day do not understand how the winnings came. Some attributed it to divine intervention, but King Theodora knew better. What still pulled him is the sudden weakening of the enemy forces that helped him give that final crushing blow. It’s as if they lost their motivation just like that. Really strange. He did follow up with the rituals the priests came up with to follow the victory. It was mostly for show for his countrymen. But he never expected people to buy it so whole. He guessed its mostly because they were too sick and tired of this whole ritual of war, they don’t care how it ended. And it indeed ended in a most un-predictable way, when they were sure the holdfast was going to last only a year more, in the best of circumstances. Now that it’s been history, he cannot truthfully say the situation has improved much. He do not have to fear about a catastrophic defeat day in and out, but the ending brought with it the un-ending stream of issue. The primary concern is food, which he had not been able to sort out so far. one year and 4 advisors later, the situation just felt like the day the war had ended. Sure, there are some benefits like pilfering the enemy lines and getting to their scant belongings, but that didn’t yield much. Nothing he can eat anyway. He reminded himself a just and truthful king always treats his subjects with respect. He was already 5 minutes late and he hated it. He wanted to be a man word and be punctual to his classes. He understood they are small things but they are the foundation to build a great man. He smiled a little bit reminding himself of these facts. He so very missed his older master. It was so bad he had to get sick and die painfully. It was un-bearable to watch, but he kept repeating the sentence the king will be with his subjects in pain or gain. They had scoured the land for some herbs to treat the old man, but the land, like the peoples mind had dried up. By the time they had found some, from a farmer who had hidden some, for a rainy day, it was too late. He had half a mind to teach the guy a lesson, but his father insisted loyal subjects are hard to come by and people need to start looking at themselves. He could understand and only feel pity for the guy, he managed to convince his father to return the little herb they acquired. What good is it anyway since the old man has gone anyway? He did miss him sorely now. Nobody could replaces the words of wisdom he offered and most of his childhood was heavily influenced by him thoughts and teachings. I will be very happy indeed if I can surround myself with good people like him, the prince thought

T.S. Eliot's “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” provides interesting insight and commentary into the monotony of everyday life, as well as the value and particularly the risks involved in social interaction and relationships. The poem establishes the insecurities of the main character, J. Alfred Prufrock, in his dealings with social monotony and interaction. This is done through a portrayal of his inner thoughts and self judgements as he considers the possibility of approaching a woman in lieu of a possible relationship. This guides the reader through his own insecurities and self-belittlement as he finally reaches his sour conclusion that fails to resolve or acknowledge these problems. The poem commences with a focus on the…

Shanaz Shakur Ms. Churchill English Honors 2, Period 0 21 September 2016 Essential Motifs in The Once and Future King Other than for the purpose of storytelling and entertainment, people read books to learn life lessons and understand morals and values. People read stories and take into account what the characters learn, and apply those lessons to their own lives. In The Once and Future King, T. H. White teaches us three major themes; that while the justice system gives people a chance of being proven innocent, it is not always fair, that one can not always trust their family, and ultimately, no matter how hard one tries to prevent the future, they cannot alter what destiny has already decided for them.…

The fact that our present monarch, King Claudius, may have committed fratricide is a concerning thought.…

Reputation is something that is lacking in Polonius ever since the death of King Hamlet. At one point, Polonius was very close to the deceased King, getting as close as he could towards royalty. Since he wasn’t born into a life of aristocracy, the closest he could get to wearing the crown was to remain close, often being too involved with the proceedings at the royal grounds. His hypocritical attitude throughout the novel conveys his loss of integrity that ultimately ends with death and wasted respect. Polonius would rather put everything at stake to maintain his position, rather than serving an actual purpose.…

Edgar Allen Poe is an American writer that is world renown for his dark writing style, which allows the reader to be engulfed into his tales of horror and mystery. The Cask of Amontillado is a classic Poe style story that is littered with unexpected twists and turns around every corner. The reader is able to watch from afar as the main character seeks revenge against his “friend” Fortunato. Poe’s ability to create a character like Montresor amazes me because of the unique way in which he reveals the main characters poor mental health without directly stating that he is insane. The gradual realization of this is what makes the story so unique to Poe’s style.…
