Prime was released in 2005 as a comedy-drama, throughout the movie the main character receives treatment from a psychiatrist.
The movie is centered around Rafi, a 37 year old photographer. Rafi sees a psychiatrist, Lisa, on a weekly basis, and in the first session shown Rafi discusses the finalization of her divorce. Rafi later meets David, and they instantly are attracted to each other. During their first date David reveals he wants to be a professional painter, he is jewish, and only 23 years old, Rafi questions whether they should start a relationship. Rafi goes back to her therapist, Lisa, and tells her all about the new man in her life. Lisa encourages Rafi to keep having fun, and jokes around with her. As the relationship progresses

Lisa encouraged Rafi to look for companionship after her divorce, when Rafi met David, Lisa was completely approving. Lisa said the age difference was a good thing and that Rafi needed to have some fun. Yet, when David tells his mother he is seeing a non-jewish older woman, she is not as supportive. Lisa proclaims David must date within his religion, and that she advises her clients to do the same. The treatment of Rafi was consistent at first, until Lisa discovered that the younger man Rafi was dating was her own son David. After being aware of the relationship Lisa is no longer as approving or happy to see Rafi having such a good time. Lisa begins to question her relationship more, and hints to the differences in the couple. Lisa tries to make Rafi see the relationship as more of a fling and not a commitment.
The sessions did not seem very realistic, in comparison to sessions we have viewed in class. Rafi and Lisa seemed more like girls gossiping. than a therapeutic relationship. Lisa was never pictured taking notes or setting out specific goals for Rafi to achieve. By the time Lisa figures out Rafi is dating her son the sessions become pushy and awkward. Lisa also began to end sessions early, leaving Rafi unsettled with no
