Professor Rini spoke in non scientific terms of what my strengths were. But the question must be asked, is there evidence to actually support his premise regarding my strengths. A major lesson from “Primal Leadership” is that the executive’s mood affects the workplace. Humans are biologically able to transmit signals that can alter hormone levels, cardiovascular functions, sleep rhythms, even immune functions, inside the body of another. If a workplace is lead by an optimistic boss, everything feels possible, and as a result, stretch goals were achieved, competitors beaten, and new customers won. Workers will love what they are doing, they feel happier and they may even get more work done. People will enjoy their job, as opposed to being led by a leader who is constantly negative.…

I am an RA at Northern Kentucky University. As an RA, I help students transition to college and help them understand how to live on their own away from parents. It is my duty to enforce University Housing policy- to ensure the safety of students plus maintain a positive learning environment. As an RA, I have developed a unique set of skills because I get to work with students to ensure they are receiving a full well rounded college experience while enforcing rules that some tend to break. This can be challenging because I still have to live with them unlike police; for example, they get to go home after they interact with someone so they don’t have to deal with it when their job is over.…

When working in early childhood there is an increasing motivation to achieve higher levels of development in their professionalism. This involves the way they plan, write, incorporation of new strategies or the implementation of efficient organisation. While using the National Quality Framework (NQF) as a support network to educators teaching practices, philosophy and vision, leaders must also consider that investigation and discourses can shape the way they teach. For instance, educators methods of teaching may be driven more on regulatory requirements rather than the quality of multiple exercises that can better cater for the children's learning (Waniganayake et al., 2012, p. 53) In order to achieve the centres goals and objectives, effective…

Leadership Kathy Dunlap Bethel University MOD 310 April 24, 2017 Kameke Payne Leadership No one theory of leadership has ever been accepted by all, but the common thought of leadership is that it is an influence process, occurs within a group, involves goals, and attainment. Some people think leaders are born with a trait that innately makes them leaders, while others theorize that it is a characteristic of an individual, but we have learned that leaders are a product of their development and life experiences. Leaders are concerned with understanding people’s beliefs and gaining their commitment. They function without focusing on the opinions of others, which allows them to think of new ideas and motivate others to develop these…

One recurring trait among authentic leaders is transparency—being open and genuine with others (Regan, Laschinger, & Wong, 2016; Fusco, O’Riordan, & Palmer, 2016). I have formally led the same team at work for two years. Before being their manager, I was on equal ground with several coworkers for more than five years. Since I was promoted instead of them, I knew feelings would be hurt. Instead of ignoring their feelings, I encouraged open communication with everyone.…

Everyone can born become a leader but leadership is not innate. A myth states that leadership is innate. According to some persons, leadership is determined by distinctive dispositional characteristics present at birth (Studentpenet.com, 2013). However, according to Forsyth (2009), leadership also develops over and done with hard work and careful observation. A quote from E.F Girard tells that ‘ leadership is accomplished by ability, awareness, experience and keeping posted; by willingness to take responsibility; a knack for getting along with people; an open mind and a head that stays clear under stress’…
