The creation stories are told from two different perspectives. They can be divided into the Priestly and Yahwist account. The first creation story is told through chronological order. There is one God who is serene, powerful and distant. The place for this creation story is in the universe. Genesis 1:1 states, “How good it was”. God simply has “The Word”. In this story, no one is opposing God and all creation is indeed good. In this account, big light, little light, doesn’t even have names, 4th day rejecting the Enuma Elish. God stepped into their life to serve man as a clock and calendar. Yahweh also plants garden in Eden. Yahweh is more personified and close. Adam is also giving the task to name the animals, but none are suitable as a mate. Genesis 2:21-22 states “Then he took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh”. Yahweh builds a rib from the man into a woman and Bone from my bone flesh from my flesh. There is also more interaction with mankind with God’s other creations. The method for this creation story is potter in clay and the ordering is that it starts and ends with

This distinction is made when God creates a “vault” to separate the water from the water, which created the sky in between these two sets of water (Genesis 1). In the Native American story the touching of sky and water caused the creation of the First World (Navajo Creation Story).
