Every man wants to be right and not make any mistakes, but when his pride takes over, he might not correct his mistakes. The character Tiresias from Sophocles ‘Antigone’ states that the only crime of man is his pride, and that good men observe his mistakes and fixes what he has done. Throughout politics and entertainment, overconfident people have any position of power have a problem of stepping down and admitting their mistakes, this is true in cases of President Trump and Fox Mulder from the X-Files.
Pride is a strong force that will tide down a man and will not make him move. For a modern day example is President Trump, a good sign of a President is that they stand by what they believe and work hard to get their agenda out. But some beliefs
