Creon feels that he can’t let Antigone live. Not because he despise her or is a malicious person. The issue is that it would diminish his pride since she went against his word, he feels that he must keep his word or his pride will be damaged. He feels that he can’t allow a woman to go against his word and get away with it, he’s the king how dare she.
