Prezi Argument Essay

After we finish the Inquiry 3, we did the Inquiry 4 which is transfer the text into media. I chose Prezi as my way to present. Because I often use Prezi which provides many sources and it is much better than the traditional PowerPoint. The good side of remediate our essay, using picture and video can better and more vivid to explain our thought and let the audience to enjoy into it. As I learned before in the English 109 class, Professor taught us we can use Ethos, Logos, and Pathos to appeal the audience feeling. I used the same reasons which is my logos in the Inquiry 3 that set up three reasons to explain my idea. The main topic is Greenwashing, which is a way that the company always used to deceive the customers to buy their product. And …show more content…
Because I think pictures can be more persuaded. I chose most of the pictures that are really related to our daily life, such as the products we use every day or we can see when we go to the supermarket. These pictures will give empathy to my audience. Later, I also inserts some picture about the third party certification and their fake version, these pictures is more educated. It shows to the audience who never sees or know the labels before. And when they go to the supermarket next time, they will be more aware and care about how the product look like and do not fool by the company. I am also inserted two YouTube videos inside that will reveal the truth and add more fun to my presentation. And one of the videos is more about the company aspect. Showing the how the company usually do and the reason they like to put the “natural” labels and barn or leaf. The other video is support my “vagueness” idea, I wrote the Arizona case in my essay. I talked about how the Arizona tea print “100% natural” labels on their products but in fact they contain high fructose corn syrup and citric acid. In the video, the guy questions a box of cereals which is funny but have deep meaning behind it. He questions about why the box show 100% natural but when he look at the ingredient. The products contains high fructose corn syrup. It is really similar with my example in my …show more content…
I used the same reason both in essay and remediation because the points I write about is the exactly the truth I want to tell everyone. Even though I used the same reason, but I feel like the media can more interact with my audience, when someone read my essay, they sometimes might feel boring or not interesting enough. And when I read someone else’s essay, I sometimes will skip a line or do not know what I read about. But media can be more attractive, and I can express my idea clearly and add some funny movie that excite their interested. If I do not insert the picture, I cannot even describe the exact same third party labels are. Sometimes even how well the description is, they still not instead of a real picture. Throughout the whole experience, I think it is very

Many would argue that a murderer shouldn’t receive an award of bravery, however, I believe it is important to view all sides of a story. On that note, I am recommending Zinaida Portnova for The Harper Lee Moral Courage Award. Portnova was a seventh grade student when Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union, and hated the Germans after an incident where Nazi troops hit her grandmother while confiscating cattle. After this event, she sought justice through joining the Young Avengers, a Belarusian resistance movement with the Komsomol organization. She went on to kill upwards of 100 German soldiers in an operation where she sabotaged actions at a pump, brick factory, and local power plant.…

[SS] Prairie Foods’ “Complete Blueberry Pomegranate” cereal packaging violates California’s ban against “untrue or misleading” advertising. Gerber Prods. Co., 523 F.3d 934, 936 (9th Cir. 2008).…

In my argumentative essay I defend why football is a dangerous sport and should be avoided with young children ages 6-12. My previous essay used data from secondary sources and primary sources, however supporting my stance with only words was a challenge. Without visual and audio elements I felt I had trouble communicating with the reader. My remediation into a prezi uses a combination of videos and images to present the consequences of playing football. To support my claims I use evidence from expert researchers and certified doctors.…

Is the U.S.A justified in sending Japanese residents to Manzanar and other camps like it? Yes, the U.S. was at war with Japan and they had to take precautions because they were worried that the Japanese would interfere with the war. The treatment the Japanese had at the camps is not justified though, they lived in humiliation and poor living conditions. Also it was wrong for the U.S. to hold the loyal Japanese citizens against their will. Of course the U.S. would be justified to hold Japanese residents in concentration camps.…

In this argument, the arguers concludes that residents living in the Leevile town (L town) have relaxed pace of life because of their fewer sick days than Masonton city (C city), and lower rate of diagnosis of stress-related illness. At first glance, the argument appears to be convincing, however, further reflection reveals that it suffers from at least three logic flaws. Firstly, the number of days of sick leave taken by individuals does not necessarily indicate their health status. In order to justify the argument, the arguer should provide explanations like L town’s workers will not still at work if they feel uncomfortable, or the only reason of asking for sick leave is they are indeed ill.…

In the articles “Three Cheers for the Nanny State,” “Ban the Ban!,” and “Soda’s a Problem but…”, all three authors present their arguments with facts, opinions, and counterclaims. However, one article presents itself better than the rest. I believe that the article “Soda’s a Problem, but...” was the most convincing article. Sarah Conly- the author who wrote “Three Cheers for the Nanny State”- argues that the soda restriction is a good idea because people would be stopped from making foolish decisions that they’ll pretty definitely regret.…

English 1101 is a course aimed to prepare students for their future writing courses and have the necessary skills for writing college level work. Coming into this course I was hopeful that it would improve my general writing skills since throughout my secondary schooling it was acceptable but not exceptional. My current faults are hindering the comprehensiveness of my writings because readers have to sift through the damage to understand the argument and focus of the topic. While I am able to come up with content my inability to logically put it into a written form is something I intended to improve. After this course I hope to have revamped my former weaknesses so I can be a more clear and cohesive writer for the future…

Creating more jobs will be difficult, but it can be done with the collaboration of the country’s people. Elaine Denny, from the New York Times says, “A business cannot grow in a place where gangs require monthly or even weekly fees” (Denny, 2015). In many ways she could be right, that is why the violence and abuse of MS 13 has to be stopped.…

The food industry has been changing and evolving since the onset of production processing. While shopping, consumers can become confused with all of the different labels placed on specific foods. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) currently regulates the definition and placement of the "organic" label as food grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, and cannot have any artificial ingredients, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), hormones, or antibiotics (Hari 1). On the other hand, the "natural" label is not defined or regulated. The consumer is left to guess whether or not to believe the label and sometimes the label can be interpreted to mean healthy or has no added sugar.…
