Reflection Of Nursing Treatment Plan

The pathophysiological process leading to the clinical characteristics of the disease and the rational approaches in diagnosis and management of the disease have always intrigued me. I enjoyed in particular the challenge of utilizing a wide breath of knowledge and clinical expertise in arriving at a final diagnosis and instituting an individually tailored treatment plan given only an initial set of symptoms to start with. I distinctly remember a 22-year old patient who presented with generalized seizures and progressive paralysis. As the intern in charge of her case, I was baffled not finding an underlying cause. With further history from relatives, it was noted that she also had a history of recurrent abdominal pain and photosensitivity. This made me think of Acute Intermittent Porphyria as a possible differential diagnosis. This case, which presented with primary neurological and gastrointestinal symptoms, turned out to be a hematological condition. This is one of the many cases; I had in my medical tenure. I had the opportunity to manage individually primary care cases, allowing me to utilize all the skills gained over a span of five years. I coordinated and worked closely hand in hand with the multiple level of care management in the hospital for my patients. I diligently worked to built a comprehensive, compassionate care for my patients. My internship and work experience further helped me in developing skills in teamwork, communication, and leadership while enhancing clinical and diagnostic skills. This work experience also helped me in developing skills required to effectively work with different types of patients as well as prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are a
