Obesity plays a vital role in a child’s life just as explained in the article, Treat child obesity as neglect, say doctors, by Daniel Martin, which suggests that “Doctors will say that, in extreme cases, overfeeding a child under 12 should be seen as a form of abuse or neglect and treated as a ‘child protection issue’”. His article aims to give a comprehensive account of how parents don’t understand that overfeeding a child is something that is rebellious in our world. Quite recently, considerable attention has been paid to the unhealthy TV shows that children watch repeatedly as explained by the article, TV shows that encourage kids to guzzle fizzy drinks: Characters choose to guzzle option two out of three times, by Daily Mail Reporter. He describes, “That research, by doctors at University Hospital Limerick, found that in animated films 68.2 per cent of the foods were classed as energy dense and nutrition poor, followed by 54 per cent in teenage programmes, and 52 per cent of cartoon TV shows.” where many individuals feel that children are effectively influenced in a negative way in their health styles. Several publications have appeared in recent years documenting the technological issues a child has with obesity as described in the article that “Mr Hunt said it was shameful that one in five children leave primary school obese, highlighting the link between social class and child health”. Parents should be aware with what a young child views on a daily basis because it can lead to bullying with a direct remark to children that are overweight and will also end up having trouble developing social skills. These children are insecure about their outward appearance in their body, which can make school difficult for them. This results in a poor academic outlook and performance for a child.
