The cause is mostly the individuals faults and is affected by modern culture and the fact that no one is listening to them. For example, the violence in popular games may influence violence in schools. Also, the environment in school is a main factor as well, because kids usually listen to others, and some of these shooters have been bullied and have the natural instinct of seeking revenge on the school because no one does anything about their suffering. School shooting are unpredictable because teenagers can unpredictable with their emotions, the problem isn’t gun control. The real problem is the lack of caring about students emotions to teachers and staff, mental illness can cause a school shooting. In article by Alfred University, “Can we prevent school shootings?”, researches how many students would report this and their personal responses, about 12% feel this way, “They think that teachers don't have to go to great lengths to find the potential problems - they just need to be more in tune with their classes. Teachers don't need to befriend their students, just be aware of them” (Alfred University paragraph 8).
