Preventing School Shootings

The fact that school shootings are uncommon, most students think that school is safe, but unfortunately it has happened before and we should be prepared for one. Usually, kids who are going through depression, bullying or a hard time in their life are most likely to commit a mass school shooting. The shooters probably think that they will be remembered forever if they committed a mass shooting in school. School should have an website where you can report a crime like this anonymously, so they feel safer because otherwise he would be in danger.
The cause is mostly the individuals faults and is affected by modern culture and the fact that no one is listening to them. For example, the violence in popular games may influence violence in schools. Also, the environment in school is a main factor as well, because kids usually listen to others, and some of these shooters have been bullied and have the natural instinct of seeking revenge on the school because no one does anything about their suffering. School shooting are unpredictable because teenagers can unpredictable with their emotions, the problem isn’t gun control. The real problem is the lack of caring about students emotions to teachers and staff, mental illness can cause a school shooting. In article by Alfred University, “Can we prevent school shootings?”, researches how many students would report this and their personal responses, about 12% feel this way, “They think that teachers don't have to go to great lengths to find the potential problems - they just need to be more in tune with their classes. Teachers don't need to befriend their students, just be aware of them” (Alfred University paragraph 8). Teachers should know how to tell if a student is depressed by looking at facial expression, attitude and tone of voice
