It is morning, another day to do another part of our life. We get up, look at ourselves in the mirror, we might be happy at what we see, or we may not, but we start the day no matter what. As bad as we think we look, there are some people that don’t even look in the mirror anymore, because they are severely over weight, they only have one job and that is to keep on eating. Eating Food that our bodies don’t immediately use for energy gets quickly stored as fat, and we convert this fat back into fuel for our brains and muscles when food is scarce. This was a great thing for our ancestors who didn’t know when their next meal would be. But for us, with our drive-through restaurants and jam-packed junk food aisles, this survival mechanism is making …show more content…

Obesity is something that is increasingly on the rise today and will continue to rise unless we do something about it like informing people of how bad it really is and encouraging people to live a health-enhancing lifestyle. The first thing that a person can do when they are obese and want to change is to take control over their life. It is obvious to see when weight is being put on, and it is up to the individual to recognize this and devote themselves to making changes. Seeing a doctor and talk to family and friends for support, and then begin making the changes. A healthy diet and exercising two to three times a week is key to not becoming obese.
