In order to help try to stop the filing of false child abuse reports is to punish those who knowingly file these reports. Also people need to be educated on the affects that these false child abuse reports have on the victims, the family, the legal system and the child. Child care workers should not fear working with young child based on false accusations. As research has stated, that more child abuse cases happen at home and not at child care facilities. The love for working with child is a passion that every person does not have so filing false reports are doing a disservice to the children and the workers.
Local, State, and Federal laws play crucial roles in make sure that many of the false claimed that are filed get prosecuted.
