Even though organizations take cautious procedures to prevent cheating on exams and standardized testing, participants will still disregard these rules and continue to cheat. Individuals that choose to cheat or exploit exams will have no regard for the rules even if they are enforced. With the availability of wearable technology accessible to the public, cheating has become more frequent and easier. This gives the user an advantage over others with access to prohibited programs, calculations, and information that are not allowed on the test. Prevention of cheating through conventional means is no longer effective, with the rate at which technology is making cheating more accessible.

It has yet been changed to adapt to the new influx of electronic devices. This leaves the integrity policies vulnerable to more advanced cheating methods using electronic devices. As long as the outdated rules and regulations are still in effect, it can not efficiently prevent cheating. Rather as it encourages cheating since it has become easier [1]. The main problem with cheating or exploitation is not so much the individual, but rather the rules and regulations themselves. If the institution that organizes the exam do not enforce or intensify their rulings enough overtime the validity of the test becomes demolished. It also breaks down to the individual, if they intend on cheating then rules or regulations will only be a minor influence. Bans can not be placed in all places, for instance only in a controlled environment that organizations can enforce them, however in public areas any devices can be used. There are also many techniques and methods that yet been explored. This could either be beneficial to the exam organization or the individual cheating. As wearable devices become more advanced, being able to do complicated calculations and communicate amongst each other. The current rules and regulations do not compensate for this. Even if they decide to ban all watches, there are many methods of using electrical devices to cheat. Such as scanners and smartpens used to copy the test or exam itself to make a profit for it. Or with more advanced methods such as a small camera and microphone. These are difficult to prevent, even if they are prohibited some how. Technology evolves on the daily, this would demand a constant change in rules and regulations. Also most of the cheating comes down to the individual participant as well.
