The way we view or portray women in a male dominated society is linked with a variety of places such as families, cultures, society and media. Women are symbolized as sex objects according to men. Magazines and posters all portray women with either minimal cloths or no clothes and are either shown with a romantic twist or being raped. It is the society that shows women as sex objects especially in the minds of men. Everyone automatically “Judges a book by it cover.” “Put on clothes that hides your curves, so no men look at you”, said my grandmother. I agree 100% because women emphasize respecting themselves in order for them to be respected from others. This is clearly portrayed in the movie “Pretty Women” where Julie Robert, enters the hotel dress inappropriately everyone gazes onto her just because of her appearance.
