Most people wonder if discrimination against gender is still happening. In today’s society there is an increase in women in the workplace. More women are doing a lot in the business world like men. They are taking positions as managers, CEO’s, and even professional athletes. Men and women view things in their lives very differently. They may also view similar products different ways. There are situations in life where women are being charged higher and paid lower than men based on similar products, necessities, and self-coverage.
In different careers women are being paid lower than men who may have the same qualification and the same position. Some may say that it is also wrong to charged women more on products that are the basically the same as men. In the case of the women soccer players who filled the lawsuit against the US soccer federation believe it is the right thing to do. These women were not afraid to speak up. These professional soccer players enjoy what they do, and had a lot of patience about how they felt about the situation, but they ended up getting tired of feeling mistreated so they spoke up about it. This made the women feel pretty confident for standing up for their selves. They believed the right action they took which made them feel morally right about the situation.
