All successful presidents had a reputation for being honest. We can't run a country, with a ruler that is dishonest and lies to his people. For example,Teddy Roosevelt was known for being a tough man that put his points across in ways that affected how american people think, this is because he was an honest man that did what he thought right and didn't lie to his people.

Another thing would be, most people that became president had some former experience in the leadership. Whether it be serving for his country, or becoming a part of a political party. Both of presidents born in this country, here they know and love this country, in point to create the laws and be part of the laws to run this
