The Twitter War President Trump is only significant through his use of social media to connect to the People. Trump is listened to and followed on twitter because he uses the POTUS account, and people follow the president. He also only posts very controversial things which attract people’s attention and has them respond in either negative or positive ways. Finally, Mr. President just cannot help the fact that he is a spoiled and entitled brat who likes to rant on a social media platform also used by twelve year olds who rant about how their parents will not let them out of the house after ten-thirty or how they ‘need a man’ who can provide for them. President Trump is the most immature and ridiculous president ever voted into office and that is saying something because there was once a president that was voted in who had affairs left and right. Either unknowingly or knowingly, Trump appeals to ethos by using the POTUS account on twitter. The fact that he is the president means that people are more inclined to listen to him no matter how idiotic or rude he is. For example, the time when he made fun of people who are crippled and prisoners of war. Trump abuses the POTUS account and spreads his own logic thus …show more content…
He uses twitter to state his opinions instead of respected newspapers or talk shows or even writing his own papers. He voluntarily chooses to use social media with a character limit of now 240 to try to express his presidential opinions with the rest of the country. In a political cartoon by Margulies shown in 2016, Trump is in the oval office making a face at his phone while his secretary of state is nearby asking what divisions he would like to deploy in this ‘twitter war’.
