If I were to advise President Truman under the circumstances, if I didn’t know the outcome I would have told him not to bomb Japan and try to find other options to solve the problem without having to kill millions of people that didn’t do anything. Some of the options that I would have given to President Truman is to send in ground troops to attack the Japanese. Truman thought that by having a ground attack it would cause too many American casualties, while I agree with the I still believe it’s a better option than killing millions of people live.
