He is Theodore 'Teddy" Roosevelt. Also known as TR was an American statesman, auther and naturalist. Teddy is the 26th president of the United States from 1901 to 1909. During this time he was the leader of the Republican Party and became the power to the Progressive Era. Born sickly with asthma and dealt with it by embracing a strenuos lifestyle. Roosevelt had many ideas to make America better and his efforts but much of his ideas were blocked in Congress. He led the two year expedition in the Amazon, almost dying of the disease. During WW1 he opposed President Wilson for keeping the U.S. out of the war against Germany. He offered his military services but they were never summoned.
