With the 2016 presidential race currently underway, image number fourteen seemed fitting for this project. The picture depicts what seems to be former President George W. Bush in a large crowd of people, as he toured the country during his term as president, or prior to his presidency when he traveled for election purposes. President Bush was in a town giving a speech to a crowd of his supporters for publicity. President Bush gave a speech regarding the current state of our Country and was there to listen to what the people had to say and wanted to ensure that their voices were being heard. A second defending factor for this scenario is that many people in the image are cheering or have excited looks on their faces, meaning this was some sort of rally for his presidency and not an intimate press conference with only officials in the media industry. Residents of the town were encouraged to attend this event and they were honored to hear Bush speak, making it a highly anticipated event. A third and final defending factor for this scenario is that Bush is waving to the crowd, meaning that he was in the spotlight at that moment and it wasn’t an event like a presidential debate where many candidates were in attendance. The crowd consisted of Bush supporters which is explained by the multitude of smiling faces in the crowd, despite the image being blurry. With presidency and elections, Bush likely faced a variety of stressors in this situation that came from a diverse set of sources.
