Launched by President Franklin D. Roosevelt after taking office in 1933, the New Deal was a set of federal programs. These programs were in response to the Great Depression in forms of recovery, relief, and reform. The three R´s were to address the problems of mass unemployment and the economic crisis. However, the New Deal was a failure. Unemployment was not completely conquered, it was wasteful with expenses, and did not end the Great Depression.
The New Deal had a main goal to give the unemployed, jobs. President Roosevelt made a few mistakes though in this area with some of the acts he made and Congress passed. For example, the Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA) reduced production by paying farmers to not plant anymore and kill off excess
