-Timing during your presentation: Another important aspect is timing. How long should you take to make your speech? Some think that it should all depend on the subject you want to talk about, which is true; but you should also think about the timing for the speech by asking yourself just how much is enough to inform, entertain or educate people. How much is enough for questions after the speech? How long is long enough, when you are using accessories or tools to help you for your presentation?

They also are very useful, when it comes to giving more explanation to a concept or certain points that people don’t get just by hearing it. As you know, not everybody learns or receive information the same way; meaning that some people learn better with images and others prefer numbers. Presentation tools, like visual aids can help you with that. You can choose to play a short documentary, sliding images, explanatory graphs and so on. You can also use audio tools, if that’s necessary depending on the nature of your speech. Our last option would be handouts. People ignore their role, but handouts actually explains a bit better the message in your speech, with more details and examples. It also serves as a reminder to your cause. For instance, if you make a speech to raise funds for awareness against animal abuse, your hand outs might contain additional information that complete the ones you gave during your speech and they also contain all your contact like websites, phone numbers and email addresses.
