Have you ever wondered how a person started having a painkiller abuse? Is it the doctors or the patient's fault? Statistics show that young adults are the people who mainly abuse prescription drugs. In 2014 alone more than 1,700 adults overdosed.(drugabuse) More and more people become dependent on drugs.
What is a painkiller abuse and how does that come to be? Drugs change the way your brain reacts to things even if it is something you are prescribed. Abusing it is when you have an addiction and take more and more of it. The body is made to get used to chemicals coming into your body and once it is used to it its does not send out dopamine signals to give people the high or pleasure that normally happens.(drugabuse) In result, they take more and more until they get high. Once an abuse has started it is very hard to get clean and stay clean because the brain is now changed and depends on the drug. Everyone. Why point your finger at someone and say that they are doing something wrong when it's everyone's faults. Doctors should be way more careful when prescribing medication and there are new none addictive medicine that could help. Everyone is quick to jumping on board with painkillers because it's such an easy and lazy way to do things.( unless you really need it) People also should contact their doctor immediately if they feel like they are getting addicted so they can get help right away. There are also the ones who get them illegally and take them that way. Humans make mistakes and drug abuse is a huge one but no one is to blame for it. Doctors do not know who is going to get addicted and the drug abusers did not think that the medicine they got would become a habit it just simply does. That's why I belive no one is to
