The purpose of premarital counseling session is to assist couples in getting ready for matrimony. Nevertheless, it is a great way for couples establish a powerful, vigorous affiliation with each other. Joseph & Subhashini (2012) argues that “Individual who go through the process of marital counseling are expected to acquire the coping capacity in facing difficult situations in ones marriage”(p.5). After reading several threads f rom my classmates post last week, I saw that many of them had premarital counseling sessions. The book inspired her and her fiancé open themselves up to each other without causing harm within the relationship. Communication was also played a major part in the premarital sessions for the couples.
