Colon faces this problem where he’s unsure of what to do and his questioning himself. The final paragraph in “ Little Things are Big ”, Colon starts to think that maybe that the woman wasn’t prejudiced what so ever and that he feels he has failed this woman for assuming the she was prejudiced. “ Perhaps the lady was not prejudiced after all. If you were not that prejudiced, I failed you, dear lady.” This shows how awful he felt because of prejudiced. Colon promise himself that i he faces an occasion like that ever again, he will offer his help no matter what the person could say. “So, here is the promise I made to myself back then: if I am ever faced with an occasion like that again, I am going to offer my help regardless of how the offer is going to be received.” Colon wants to prove to himself that prejudice is not something that should influence the way he views people and himself. Colon is letting this experience be a lesson for him in the future so he doesn't make the same mistake
