In this scene Mercutio is mocking the Capulets and Tybalt is searching for Romeo because of his presence at the Capulet Party. Mercutio offers to fight Tybalt and Tybalt accepts the offer. They duel and Romeo tries to stop it, but he just gets in the way and mercutio is stabbed by Tybalt. Everyone thinks Mercutio is jking about it, but when they realize it’s true Romeo is angered and wants to fight Tybalt. He says either both or one of them will go with mercutio and the duel begins. He kills Tybalt and now Romeo realizes he has done something very bad. He will now struggle to be able to be with Juliet.
