The beginning of this movie was based clearly based on stereotypes and discrimination. One of the cops made Cameron take an alcoholic text even though he showed no signs of alcohol intoxication. He agreed to the test and his wife got out the car and started and running off at the mouth. This pissed the officer off and he sexually molested Cameron’s wife in front of his face. On top of that, he made Cameron apologize or threaten to take them both to jail. Cameron decided to humble himself down and apologize to the police officer. In this scene, the act was racist because the cop stopped a black couple who were violating any laws. Black people are always treated unfairly across the board. They have to deal with racist cops, also they have problems just trying to get a loan. Racial equality remains an indefinite objective (“The black and white in America,” 2017).
Jean is a mean person in this film. She did not like the guy who was changing the locks and she wanted the locks changed again the next day. She called the locksmith a gang member with prison tattoos, and he is going to sell the keys to his gang-banging friends. In the meantime, the locksmith was listening, once he finished, he took all the keys and place them on the table where Jean was standing. He got tired of it because he did not understand what they were saying. The shop owner did not know that Farhad speaks English at first and he disrespected Farhad by calling him a Muslim name. Farhad realized the owner was insulting him. The owner labeled him as a Muslim by saying, “yo Osama”. He also accused Farhad of liberating his country. The conversation in the gun shop was an act of ethnocentrism by the owner. He believed the American culture is superior to Islam. He spoke judgment on the Islamic culture, which in fact, is not the culture of Farhad. Once he found out Farhad spoke English, he got pissed and kicked him out of the store. The owner did not know that Farhad is Persian. He thought he was a Muslim and that is how he treated
