First, we have prejudice which involves an individual thinking something negative about a certain individual without actually knowing them personally. It is similar to discrimination; however, it deals more with an individual rather than a group. I recall from the video that earlier generations singled out interracial couples, I felt like this was a good example of prejudice in the documentary. People thought that these people were the scum of the Earth and all around not normal. In result, society singled them out and made it seem that they were not welcome.
Lastly, on a more positive note, we have the term multiculturalism, this is the act of every race being equal in every way, with no race being singled out for anything. In this video, I saw an example of multiculturalism when all the students were sitting around reading their chromosomes results together and finding out where they were from. They realized how equal they could be to someone that was not of the same skin color as them and you could see how surprised they were to be so closely related.
