Prejudice and discrimination are really important words that define who we are and how we think about others in our daily basis. Prejudice and discrimination factors are mostly determined since day one. They have an affect on all humans and there are ways that you can do to reducing its development. Prejudice has to deal with the inflexible and irrational attitudes and opinions held by members of one group about another person. Most of the time the opinion you have is not based on reasons or experiences. Prejudice also means that the attitude you have towards others could be positive or negative. Discrimination is prejudicial behavior of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of sex, age, or even race. Also, the behavior you have towards the others could be positive or negative and that’s how prejudice and discrimination could be closely related concepts.

Being prejudiced usually means having beliefs towards multiple people or cultural practices. The negative attitude of prejudice can lead to discrimination, although you can be prejudiced and not act upon the attitudes you have. Moreover, there are lots of types of Prejudice and discrimination and each one of them has its own function and effect on one’s brain. Everyone can control their thoughts on how to use those types.
