Santiago was predisposed to become a priest. He would have lived a life of preaching and staying in his church. Once he realized predisposition is not set in stone he became our protagonist. The consciousness he unlocked lead him to the choice of becoming a shepherd had brought him throughout spain and eventually to the king of salem, who reaffirmed his decision to break off of his original path “It’s this: that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That’s the world’s greatest lie” The king revealed that your life is in your hands; you shape it how you please.
