In the play Romeo and Juliet, predetermined destiny can sometimes lead to fate for star-cross’d lovers. Predetermined destiny is the idea that everyone's path and actions in life are already decided upon before birth by a higher power. In the play, it plays a huge role when telling us who Romeo and Juliet are supposed to marry. Therefor this term in relevant, because both Romeo and Juliet, who marry each other, break the marriage plans that they were supposed to have. The town of Fair Verona, two families, although similar in dignity, both battle to be the best. “A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life; Whose misadventured piteous overthrows. Do with their death bury their parents' strife. The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love”(Prologue)
