Precarious work is work held by workers that is insufficient to support their living standards and gives them an unstable life. Some features of precarious work are low wages, unstable hours, lack of social benefits and health concerns. Mizen, Pole and Bolton (2001) also had a list of examples of precarious which was labelled as ‘Informal’ Jobs which were washing neighbour’s car. These examples are unstable and only comes once in a while. At the end of the day, with everything being unknown or unstable, they have no ability to make concrete future plans. This causes individuals to be unable to support their family which jeopardises their life.

Students usually go after these jobs and although they are decently paid, waiting around for these kind of offers may not be the best idea as one never know when would a job be available.
Seasonal Jobs Effects:
Some individuals who are ready to work and have the relevant qualifications may unfortunately be tied down by family problems enabling them to not work and earn money. Instead they may be home all day long taking care of a sibling or parents. This would count as a Unpaid Family Work and the individual also has no choice unless there is someone else to look after the sick. This distracts him from advancing further and he would be let down by personal problems.
Disadvantages of Vulnerable Workers:
A category of workers known as Vulnerable Workers includes individuals looking after their family hence being unpaid. These groups of workers have a difficult journey getting back up to the standard employee standard hence employers tend to turn a blind eye on them. As backed up by Gottlieb, Kelloway and Barham (1998), it is said
