Pre Calculus Math Class

Throughout math classes, concepts are learned and combined with others. Before moving on to the next, in some cases, there is a refresher to get ready for the new material. Sometimes a class starts out with a previously learned concept and it has been a while since a student has seen it. The teacher then must make sure her students are on the same page and ready to move to the new material. Sometimes this process can take a while because of different learning curves and a student may have not been to a math class in a while and forgot some of the core pieces. There are skills that helped me in the pre-calculus math class and others I had to relearn; the class will help in other classes and life in multiple ways. To start off in high school I took a pre-calculus class. The teacher wasn’t the best at covering the material which caused me to barely be able to get a decent grade in the class. One of the concepts that I had problems getting down was the unit circle. I had difficulties understanding almost everything about it and tried to figure it out using the class and question help on my math lab, so I pretty much depended on the picture of all the points, degrees, and radians that were in specific spots on the circle. When finding out my major was going to require calculus classes I was afraid of how long it would take to memorize all the details on it. Memorizing the unit circle ended up being easy and understood it within a couple of days. The main thing I have trouble with is remembering the coordinates for the 30 and 60-degree locations. The points are reversed of each other and sometimes forget which number is the x and which number is the y. As far as the algebra concepts, the class pretty much forces you to understand how to do algebra skills before being able to do basic
