Pope Francis action of preaching the effects climate change has on the world and catholic churches taking actions, such as installing solar panels is a great way to take actions to help in mending the issue of climate change. The article also shows that the church taking these actions will inspire others to not only be aware of the issue, but take action themselves. This relates to our previous reading of Pope Francis book “Praise Be to You” as the people of these churches are not just warning people of the dangers of climate change, but are taking actions. It also shows that taking care of the Earth is something humans should do because it is taught through the Bible, making spreading awareness of the issue of climate change and inspiring people to take action is a manner the church should be involved in. It would be great to see how the Islamic or other religion church is taking action to prevent the effects of climate change. For the issue of climate change to be improved drastically, all people of all faiths must come together and change their way of life to a more sustainable way of living. As the article mentions, in 2012 only 42 percent people believe climate change was primarily all man-made. This is a disturbing since that mostly all scientist believe this is the case, but a majority of people that do have the knowledge these scientist have disagree with this notion. Without other faiths inspiring people to take action, the impact and public perception of climate change cannot change as drastically as it needs to.
