While researching Prairie State college, a two year, suburban community college that was founded in 1957; I came across some concerning information. According to the statistics provided by Collegescorecard.ed.gov, Prairie State College consistently ranks lower than the national median. For instance, only 40 percent of P.S.C’s students return after their first year of attending this is significantly lower than the national median by 69 percent. In addition to the institution having a graduation rate of 15 percent, the average salary after attending prairie state college is an alarming amount of 29,200 dollars. After reading this I began to question Prairie State’s productivity since the U.S. Census Bureau reported the national median in 2013
