The Pradaxa lawsuit concerns the serious side effects associated with the use of Pradaxa (dabigatran).
The side effects include rectal, brain and gastrointestinal bleeding. The other side effects of Pradaxa include GERD, gastrointestinal cancer and abdominal pain and discomfort. Those who were affected by the drug filed a lawsuit against the drug manufacturer, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals.
over 4,000 people have already received compensation from the Boehringer Ingelheim, a German based drug maker as part of the MDL settlement.

Some of the representatives of the victims in the Pradaxa lawsuit inc included Berth Bivens, Walter Daumler and John and Helen Hawkins. John and Hellen Hawkins both file their cases in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. John Hawkins lawsuit concerned the death of her mother, Nancy Brummett, while Helen’s lawsuit against Boehringer concerned taking Pradaxa to treat her atrial fibrillation.
