I have loved playing soccer for many years, I met many people, made many friends, but what would stick with me the most would be the competitions I got to participate in with my teammates. During the Euclid Memorial Tournament Finals our team, Euclid Elite, lost in the semi finals. Many members of our team tried very hard and worked together to try to win, but there were a few who had given up before the game was even over causing us to play even worse, contributing to us losing. The game ended and we had a talk after the game, many people left angry and disappointed that we could not recreate our past success and win the Euclid Memorial Tournament. I learned many things from this experience, some things that would help me improve myself,…

Greetings Carine McCandless, I finally made it to Alaska and I believe my journey is going to end soon. Later, after arriving, I ran out of food and I went out to search for food such as fruit or berries. After eating a handful I fell asleep and I awaken with excruciating pain. I started to read the book and I had got the plants mixed with a poisonous plant that look exactly alike. I started making myself throw up and began reading more into the book I figured that the plant I ate can cause starvation and death.…

Everybody has had that moment when someone, or even possible something, has taught you a valuable lesson that you will never forget. I know that I’ve had a multitude of them, but most of them I can’t remember the specific situation that transpired to teach me the lesson. For example, I can’t remember the first time that I touched a hot stove and realized that I probably shouldn’t do that.…

A learning experiences that I have learn throughout sports is to never give up. In sports there will always be people working harder than you. If you want to be the best or good at something you have to work hard every time you step on and off the court. Another reason that not giving up in sports is because success isn't rewarding if it's easy. For example sports wouldn’t be fun if you would just won every game.…

After arriving to Wood Middle School as I would on any other day, I walked into the bustling commons area and noticed a herd of students scattered into their separate cliques. However, what immediately caught my eye was the number of teachers and administrators who clearly looked flustered and distressed. I soon left the commons area and headed towards the library to figure what exactly was going on. Sure enough, there was a cluster of teachers gazing at the library’s television in utter disbelief over what would soon become known as “The Stock Market Crash of 2008”. Even though I was only in the 6th grade, I still had enough competence to realize that this was not an ordinary day in the stock market.…

I also learned that I will never be truly appreciative of what have but, perhaps, I can use the experiences given to me to shape what I'd rather be. I remember the first time about what a blessed situation I had when I was nine years of age. I remember being lectured by my mother about how there were children willing to kill in order to eat what was on my dinner plate when I refused to eat my brussels sprouts. I remember not believing her until seeing first hand what she was talking about during my voyage to Africa.…

When I reflect on this semester and my practicum experience, the first thing that comes to my mind is motivation and drive. This is the first time I have actually felt comfortable enough to want to be in the classroom all day, everyday. This semester opened up my eyes in many different ways, and if anything, made me fall more in love with teaching and working with these students. After this practicum experience, I bring a new gift with me and that is confidence. I feel at easy in front of a group of students and truly feel that if my CT made me get up and help her teach, I could figure it out.…
