Jonas’s presentation is interesting because two programs, Prezi and Powtoon, were utilized. This is a good choice because although Prezi is more entertaining than a PowerPoint, it is mostly composed of text which can get boring. The Powtoons are informative and they give the audience a break.
This presentation easily represents its purpose because it does not go off track. You are aware of what is being taught because everything is related to the topic. Only the most consequential information is given in a simple manner, yet the text is written in full sentences which take longer to read than bullet points and the font is drab so your eyes skip over it. Consequently due to the above reasons, you sometimes do not want to read the text. On the bright side, the Powtoons are good at conveying the message. They are amusing but informative as well. The amount of words in the Powtoons are minimal and therefore you have time to read them; however, a few times in the second Powtoon such as when MLA Format was being explained, there was not enough time to read the text. Another quandary was that the picture of the Works Cited was too blurry. Nevertheless, many examples of how to avoid Plagiarism were included. The examples showed how a specific technique would be used in real life. Another strong point was how everything you learned was summarized in the ending Powtoon. Withal, one big problem was how the citing of quotes being compulsory was not mentioned. This is erroneous information and could lead to plagiarism. Another imperfection is how the works cited was not exactly clarified. The example given was too blurry and the format for the works cited in the Powtoon was too long to be read in the short period it was shown. Some minor flaws include how no example of parenthetical citation was shown, and the reason for the use of a summary was not precisely correct.
