I snap my fingers and the air around me shifts then vibrates. When the air vibrates, it creates a sound wave. Our ears pick up this wave and translates it so we can understand and comprehend what amazing intangible creation is before us. A middle C key is pushed on a piano, the hammer hits the tuned wire, the wire vibrates and creates the sound humans recognize as a simple C. As time has passed, humans have progressed from single note instruments, to handwriting sheet music for orchestras, to machines that have all the information from past generations stored in memory so everyone who has access to that technology can be an artist. The physical perception of music is described as such, but music does not only influence our ears. Powerful music affects the learning process of the brain in multiple ways, such as improving creativity, constructing new and creative ideas, and inspiring emotions to be able to learn more. …show more content…

Multiple times music sends our minds into a daydream related to whatever genre is being played, which influences our bodies to live the dream.On her blog, Amy Fries talks about how she knows two writers who listen to classical music and classical rock music. She says, “music helps them enter their creative worlds. Once they're completely in the flow of writing, the music is regulated to the background and they don't even notice it anymore. In that way, music functions as a gentle ramp that helps glide them into their zone” (p. 3). Those writers use their genres of music not to write, but to assist the writers transition to their world of writing.
