Power Revealed In Oskar Schindler's List

In loving memory of Oskar Schindler and all of the lives he saved. Power- “the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events.” Throughout the movie there are countless examples of the concept of power but the three most important are Religion, Money and Fear. And In this essay we will explore them.
Religion was a big example of power in the movie as pretty much everyone who wasn't Jewish had power over someone who practiced judaism. Jewish people poor or rich were stripped of their basic rights as humans and were put in camps. Before Jewish people were put in camps they would be stripped away from there friends and families leaving leaving everything behind their houses, belongings and even their

In the Schindlers list Oskar Schindler used money for power in multiple ways one of those ways were when he used money to bribe a guard to let him into German party which had a lot of top German generals. With that bribe and getting into the party he was able to make connections with the German officers and being in such an elite party only made him seem that much more powerful. Also with money Schindler was able to buy factories in which he filled with Jews who were protected and treated pretty well by Oskar Schindler. Jews were cheap labor Oskar started making a pretty penny through his factories. With money also came respect he was a pretty well respected man around Germany and that took him to great lengths. Some people would say that Oskar Schindler had connections. When Oskar kissed a Jewish girl at a party he was sentenced to jail since at that time It was illegal to kiss someone Jewish. While In jail he was threatened by a German officer his response was “I have friends in very high places” this showed that Oskar had power and connections and wasn't afraid to show It. he was let out of jail right away. That Is why In my opinion I think money translates greatly into
