A President ought to be the best representation of a country's people. A strong president is crucial in order to achieve a successful nation. But what makes a good president? A variety of factors contribute to the effectiveness of a president, including significant power of persuasion, versatility, and good character. A compelling power of persuasion is an essential component of a good president. The President must be an expert convincer in order to encourage Congress to support his or her position and ultimately accomplish his or her goals. This persuasion comes in multiple forms such as phone calls, dinner parties, or through social media; and the ability to connect with others through empathy and charm is beneficial throughout a presidency. In fact, President Obama demonstrated this tactic while reforming his health care bill. The skill of persuasion, especially persuading individuals in positions of power, is essential for a good president.
