Imagine waking up one morning to find the power is out in your home. Although this is an inconvenience, power outages do happen from time to time, and the power should be back in a short period of time or so you think. You get ready for the day, and still no power, so you pick up your cell phone and try to call the power company. Your phone won't work, which raises questions in your mind, but you have to go to work.
You don't truly become concerned until you head out to your car only to find it won't start. Neighbors are encountering similar problems, and nobody knows what is going on. This is what life would be like in the event America's power grid were hit, and this is only the beginning. Thankfully, the federal government now recognizes this could be an issue and is taking steps to ensure we never face a problem such as this.
