Why Do People Use Renewable Energy?

998 Words 4 Pages
People may suggest that everyday energy used is from power plants, which stores energy to power a whole city. It is usually thought of renewable resources, such as water, the sun, wind, etc., to be nothing but ordinary resources. Without individuals really thinking about it, they can use the everyday resources to power energy through many types of technologies used today. People have created machinery that can use the renewable resources for energy. There may be disadvantages, but current energy sources can make up for it. There are many different types of technologies used to power energy by using renewable resources that can make the world a better place.
To begin, one of the first renewable resources that is converted into electricity is

Who honestly knew that cool, fresh wind can make electricity? Yes, that’s right. Wind is also used to make electricity. This is called wind power. Many people have used wind to pump water or grind grain. Large turbines, with about three or four blades, are used to produce electricity. When the blades turn, the center shaft spins and creates the electricity needed to power different industries that own them. Wind energy is the world’s fastest-growing energy technology. Turbines that placed in strong, steady winds can make electricity without pollution. The power in wind increases rapidly with its speed. Statistics from Renewable Energy Alaska Project show that “The largest areas of class 7 (superior) wind power in the United States are located in Alaska. Much of coastal Alaska has “good” or “excellent” wind resources” (“Wind Energy in Alaska”). All this may sound good but there are disadvantages of wind energy. For example, when birds fly while the turbine is moving, of course, they get hit and die, causing damage towards a wing. The major disadvantage of wind energy is that wind doesn’t usually blow at a specific pattern. So, if wind does not blow for over a week, then that is less energy converted into electricity. Wind energy does save energy, yet it is only beneficial if there is wind to begin …show more content…
Sunlight, wind, and water are all resources that can be used over and over again to save and supply energy sources. Economic value can increase towards families, nations, or countries due to the conservation of energy. There are good advantages towards using renewable resources, but some come in a lot of disadvantages. Even if renewable resources are good for the community, other non-renewable resources can also benefit industrialization for time consuming works. Renewable resources can change the earth into something more sophisticated to help mankind on their road to
