Social media is used by millions of people across the world (over two billion to be more accurate) in order to access popular social media sites such as Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, ect.. The popularity of social media has grown over the years and the number of social media profiles has increased as well. To begin with, promotions on social media can be both positive and negative. Promotions can bring in money and promote businesses that are promoting good things such as promoting college and scholarships but can also promote drugs and alcohol. Also, the information on social media can have a positive and negative impact on society due to its credibility and accuracy. While a lot of information is posted on social media, not all of the information is found to be true, but people will believe it and they will assume it is true. Finally, on social media, there is less privacy which can result to being a good thing and a bad thing.
