Wait! Please do not do this I can explain Pow! Just like that my life flashed before my eyes,I could feel the sharp pain of the 9mm bullet shred my skin like it was nothing,I screamed out words that would not of been polite to anyone's ears. I could feel the traumatizing beat of my heart pounding the back of my head, the ringing inside my ears seemed to ward out any sound that my ears seemed to pick up on any other normal day. The only thing i could hear was the faint screams of the sirens on top of the law enforcement vehicles. Sir can you hear me! I tried to open my eyes, but it seemed as if they were glued shut. Minutes went by, and another voice requested me to open my eyes . My eyes deliberately opened up only to see the blurry apparitions of two individuals. As my vision became clearer I could identify the apparitions as two nurses, they had white slacks on, paired with white button up shirts that had the American Red Cross logo hot ironed onto the front pocket. The faded bloodstains that spotted their uniforms had me worried about what had happened. As I was stretched out on what seemed to be some type of dolly, or cradle with …show more content…
The back doors forcefully swung open the two medical assistants lifted me out of the van then set me down, and began rolling me towards the entrance of the hospital. When we entered the building the air sent a chilling sensation down my spine, we continued down the hallway , at the end there was two swinging doors, the hallway seemed like it was a mile long. After about what seemed like an hour, but was really about five minutes we were nearing the double doors, when we got to the doors the nurses used the opposite end of the hospital bed to pryse down stathe door open, inch by inch the bed disappeared into the darkness, when my upper body got closer to the entrance of the doors my vision quickly blacked

During the 19th century, a holy man had a sick daughter and he had a dream that said she would be healed if she danced with a dress with a jingle for each day of the year. There are different versions of the origin of the jingle dress, but most agree that the jingle dress appeared through a dream connection. The Jingle Dress dance was dead for 20 years then it made a comeback in Powwows. Powwows are competitions for family traditions which continues their culture and legacy. These competitions describe a way of life as it includes dance, family ties, travel, and financial survival.…

What is a God? Is He a higher being someone made up to feel better when people did something bad? Or the “person” that is up in the sky waiting for us to join Him after we die? Or a real, loving, caring higher power whose always has your back? A Christian God is a God who holds all morals and who does not want to see His people hurting, but wanting them to succeed and have a great life.…

The background that you gave on the American public’s reason for distrusting the government allowed me to connect and understand the controversies that the POW/MIA issue brought in the post-war years. While, such cases as Watergate and other acts to cover up engagements that took place on the battlefield during the Vietnam years, the American pubic had the right to question and feel betrayed by their government. However, despite their doubts in the government, I would challenge the doubt that the POWs and MIAs had been accounted for and brought home. In your post, you used the quote by Robert Garwood, who claimed that there were still POWs in Southeast Asia to stir the emotions of the families that had known or had loved ones labeled as missing in Vietnam. I would raise the question of whether his statements were based on truth or to gain attention from the press because of his tension with the government.…

The command set off a chorus of gun shots. Accompanying those shots was the sound of bullets flying overhead, something I had yet to get used to. A few moments had gone by before I had noticed the body lying next to me. The man I had just met was dead. His lifeless body was sprawled out, but there was no time for grieving.…

Writing-in-Role: Holden Caulfield (the Catcher in the Rye) Selma Thurmer was Pencey’s headmaster’s daughter and seemed to possess interesting personality attributes, so I’ve decided to write about the scene where Holden talks to her on a bus in the beginning chapter of the Catcher in the Rye. Inserting scene in page three, chapter one, first paragraph: I sat next to her once in the bus from Agerstown and we sort of struck up a conversation... Personally, I wasn’t really in the mood to talk to old Selma, but I figured I’d do so because she sat right next to me on the bus.…

It was cold and ordinary evening on March 5, 1770, when I was walking down King street with my friend Henry. As were walking past the Custom House a young wig maker's apprentice walked up to a British soldier and insulted him because he had not payed for a wig. Another British soldier had walked out and scolded the young boy for disrespecting a British soldier. The boy exchanged insults with the soldier so he pulled out his musket and struck the boy on the side of the head. A stream of chills rushed through my body when I witnessed that.…

Disbelieve and fear shook my mind as I lie on my back, sitting on top of concrete sandwiched in between the hot metal hood of a car, as the weight pressed down against me it didn’t hurt, my body was too numb to feel anything. All I could feel was a car pushing me further into the ground pushing my lungs down and shutting air out of it. It felt too surreal I kept blinking as if I thought I’d wake up from this mess. I could see sirens and people gathering around me watching in disbelieve, I kept fading in and out of conscience I felt like I was close to death.…
