One of the biggest challenge to mankind is Poverty. Poverty has always been present, however the majority of the world 's people and nations live in poverty today. In most nations today, there is a quite high gap between the poor and the rich. The causes of poverty are innumerable, including overpopulation, lack of education, bad government, and countless more. People have a tendency to blame the poor for living in such state going back to the same causes time after time, but the global issue that cause poverty are often less discussed or better said not mentioned at all. Poverty is a global economic problem that has arisen from global change, influenced by richer nations, government and economy.

However, statistics have proven that the topmost reason of poverty are social inequalities. Although inequality and poverty are two very different things inequality has a huge contribution in the spreading of poverty. Social inequality contributes in the spreading of poverty by barring those of lower social status from accessing the resources and tools to support themselves. When the inequality rate is high and the nation 's income increases the ones at top with a higher social status benefit the most. Economical growth could be a possible solution to reduce poverty, although it could create a higher rate of inequality. Although this vicious circle has been going on for decades in which the rich get richer and the poor get poorer nobody seems to do something to abolish it. With this being said the governments of poor nations and their people are often powerless. As a result, a few get wealthy while the majority struggle. Poverty is a multifaceted concept influenced by social, economic, and political elements; this concept has arisen throughout the years and is predicted to continue arising.
