Some believe they need to travel far to find the slums. Some may think they need to travel millions of miles to help the unfortunate. Where that is true, I believe that one does not need to travel far to find poverty. Just 30 miles from my house are places that are in desperate need of help. I think the most pressing problem in Nebraska today is poverty. I hope to use my strengths and weaknesses to help decrease this problem and create a healthy community in Nebraska.
