Blur was silent while her dad leaned in as if he was afraid that the walls could not only hear, but they could read lips as well. Then, he spoke to her.

The flowers were there, but the children were not. She lead her father to where the eating area was, and she saw that they were not there either. Perhaps they went to work, she thought to herself.
